Eli Tomac took charge of the 450 points standings Sunday with his seventh victory this season, winning a furious last-lap battle over Cooper Webb at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Tomac has a 26-point lead on Ken Roczen with four events remaining in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series season, which is being concluded in Salt Lake City after being postponed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The maximum points a rider can earn in an event is 26 points.
Webb is ranked third in the standings, trailing Tomac by 32 points.
Jason Anderson finished third in Sunday’s Round 13, which was held in muddy conditions.
In the 250 East class, Chase Sexton opened a three-point edge on Shane McElrath with his third victory of the season.
Sexton took advantage of a restart after a red flag, leading the final 12 laps after McElrath collided with another rider.
McElrath, who had won the past two events, rebounded to finish second.
