As expected, David Gilliland is set for a sixth Sprint Cup season with Front Row Motorsports. Even better for him and the team, one of their key sponsors will have a bigger effort with them in 2015 as well.

Love’s Travel Stops has expanded their program with Front Row and Gilliland’s No. 38 Ford Fusion to an 18-race schedule that includes the Daytona 500, both events at Texas Motor Speedway (“home track” for the Oklahoma City-based company), and the summer road races at Sonoma and Watkins Glen.

The official confirmation of Gilliand and Love’s return comes on the heels of news that long-time Cup crew chief Donnie Wingo will be atop the No. 38’s pit box in 2015.

“I am beyond excited about Love’s commitment to our program and to growing it each year,” Gilliland said in a release. “What I’m most proud of is the simple fact that it’s working.

“Our program does exactly what a NASCAR partnership is supposed to do. It’s been hugely successful, for us and for them. I can’t wait to see what we can do as a team this year.”

He hopes it’ll be better than what they did in 2014. Gilliland earned the pole for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, but only had a top finish of 17th in the second Pocono race and led just 14 laps all year en route to finishing 30th in the Sprint Cup points standings.
